SwiftRecap is an anti-hype briefing. The whole point is signal over noise — so our standard for what we publish is simple: if we can't ground it in a primary source, we don't say it.
How each edition is grounded
Every story summary and TLDR is generated only from the article's own reporting — the publisher's text and the linked primary source. Our generation pipeline is explicitly forbidden from inventing statistics, dates, version numbers, quotes, or claims that aren't in the source. When a source is too thin to summarize faithfully, we leave the summary out rather than guess.
We'd rather say less than say something wrong
You'll occasionally see a story with a headline and source but no summary line. That's by design: it means the original didn't give us enough to summarize without speculating. Omission beats fabrication, every time.
Found an error?
We correct mistakes openly and quickly. If something reads wrong — a misattributed source, a date, a number — tell us and we'll fix the edition and note the change.
